Alyson Cummins is a freelance set and costume designer. She began by studying architecture in University College Dublin where she was the winner of the AGA gold medal for graduating in first place.

Following an internship in the Abbey Theatre and assisting various designers in theatre and television, she was awarded an Arts Council grant to train at the Motley Theatre Design School in London and in 2007 was a finalist in the Linbury Biennial Prize for Stage Design. She went on to participate in Rough Magic’s AIB SEEDS programme from 2008-2009.
