Bryan O’Connell is a drummer/percussionist, improviser and composer of rhythmic acoustic and electronic music.
Previous work for dance includes productions by Liz Roche Companyand Liv O’Donoghue. With Tom Lane he co-wrote the score for Bird with boy by junk ensemble and Dogs by Emma Martin Dance.
He co-wrote a soundtrack for The Adventures of Princh Achmed with Eric Friedlander and Buzz Aldrin Allstars, performed in the Brooklyn Academy of Music and the National Concert Hall.
Bryan regularly collaborates with musicians including Beautiful Unit (Brian Mooney), Si Schroeder, Abigail Smith, David Stalling, Anthony Kelly and Gavin Prior. He has performed with Philip Jeck, Damo Suzuki and is currently researching the work of Jaki Liebezeit.
