Dee Corcoran’s career in film began as a Hair Assistant on John Boorman’s Excalibur in 1980 and ever since she has actively been involved in the industry.
Over the last 20 years she has become one of Ireland’s most prolific stylists/designers winning IFTAs, Stage Actors Guild Awards and Emmy nominations for her range of work which includes Vikings, The Tudors, Michael Collins, Veronica Guerin, The Butcher Boy, King Arthur, Count of Monte Cristo, and Reign of Fire.
Dee’s approach is one of collaboration and innovation, and in her research and preparation she works closely with actors, script writers, directors, costume and make-up designers to ensure that her designs maintain the perfect congruence of striking authenticity and character believability.
Her most recent project is the Vikings television series which wowed audiences in over 135 countries around the world. Filmed 100% in Ireland, Dee is very proud to have been part of such a successful production.
