Since 2000, Gaby Rooney worked in costume departments on many film, television, commercial and theatre projects. As a costume designer, Gaby worked with Siren Productions on The Making of ‘Tis Pity She’s A Whore, The Lulu House, Medea, The Giant Blue Hand (Irish Times Theatre Award Nominee), Macbeth, La Musica, Fando and Lis and Alice in Wonderland.
Other design work includes King Lear at the Abbey Theatre, Arabella (short) and Deadbook (feature, both Zanzibar Productions), Patricks Day (feature) Dha Chuirt, Identities, Rolla Saor, and BYOQ (Underground Productions), Fat Rascals and Your Bad Self (RTÉ Treasure Entertainment production), Finscéal Páidí (Oscailt), Babylon Heights (The Attic Productions), Four Horsemen, Dead Load (Warrior Films), Blood Coloured Moon, Primeval (Series 4 and 5 ITV Impossible Pictures production), The Savage Eye (Pilot and Series 3 and 4, Blinder Productions), Irish Pictorial Weekly (Series 1 and 2, Blinder Productions) and An Crisis Eile (Series 2, TG4).
Gaby Rooney died in January 2015, aged 42.

Influenced by the works of filmmakers from Fellini to Lynch The Making of ‘Tis Pity She’s a Whore was directed by Irish Times Theatre Award-winner, director Selina Cartmell. Areaman Productions produced a range of scenes for the live play, projected onstage for the actor’s interaction.
