Monica Frawley trained at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin and the Central School of Art and Design, London.
After qualifying she worked for three years as resident designer with Ireland’s National Touring Company (ITC), later concentrating on her own series of performance/installation pieces. She has worked as a designer with the Abbey Theatre, the Gate Theatre, Druid Theatre Company, Galway, the Guthrie Theater (Minneapolis), Opera Ireland and many theatres in the U.K., including the National Theatre, London, the Tricycle Theatre, London and the Traverse in Edinburgh.
Monica has designed many premieres of celebrated Irish dramatists including Frank McGuiness, Tom Murphy, Marina Carr and Brien Friel.
